Mattson, Kay

Kay Mattson, 74, of Arnold died July 14, 2016, in St. Louis. Mrs. Mattson was a certified nursing assistant at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood and St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County. Born April 1, 1942, in Raymondville, she was the daughter of Ernest and Rosetta (Hubbs) Vollmar.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Erick A. Mattson.

She is survived by two sons: Erick (Kim) of High Ridge and Clint (Tracey) of south St. Louis County; a daughter: Pam (Dave) of Washington; a sister: May (John) Ivanko of Mehlville; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Ross and Maxie Vollmar.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday, July 18, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the funeral home. Burial will be at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
