  1. I met Shirley in the early 1970’s when we both worked for Southwestern Bell. At first we were just work associates. Eventually, we became friends. We played golf, tennis and occasionally dined at local restaurants together. We had three other “Bell girls” in this group and all 5 of us became close friends.
Shirley loved to keep busy with her greenhouse in her earlier years. She loved animals, especially her dogs that were her “children.” Shirley and her late
husband Mark enjoyed Cardinal’s baseball and for many years they went to Florida for spring training games. Mark was the love of her life and she missed him so much after he passed. Shirley was a caring compassionate, thoughtful person who enjoyed a good laugh.
The last few years were not easy for her and I know she is in heaven now with her dear Mark.
