Beloved husband of 51 years to Barbara Mayer (nee Manzelli); loving father of Theresa (the late Erik) Hurst and Ted (Diane) Mayer; dearest grandfather of Skylar, Allison, Hannah, Abbey, Elaina, Nick and Elizabeth; dear great-grandfather of 4; dear brother of Mike and David Mayer; dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.
James was a mail carrier for 35 years.
Services: Funeral at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd., Wednesday, January 6 at 10 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. Visitation Tuesday, 4-7 p.m.
