Mayrose

In Loving Memory

Mayrose, Kent F.

Saturday, January 22, 2022. Beloved husband of Andrea “Annie” L. Mayrose (nee Meyer); dear father of Willa and Lua Mayrose; dear son of Cathy (Bud Reber) Mayrose and Dave (Aleta) Mayrose; dear brother of Kate Mayrose; dear son-in-law of Dave and Linda Meyer; dear nephew of Keri (Brad) Ems and Jeff (Brenda) Brubaker; dear brother-in-law of Jenny (Dennis) Doty; dear uncle of Blake Oberkramer and Benjamin Doty. Beloved cousin, colleague, and friend.

From Bob Marley to Johnny Cash, Kent loved music of all types. He thrived when jamming with friends and playing in bands in his youth. More recently, you might find him practicing saxophone and guitar with his daughters or attempting the robot while dancing with them (when no one else was watching).

Kent had a thirst for knowledge and was passionate about the outdoors. He loved a good debate and was an independent thinker. He dove into anything he took on, from learning how to ride a motorcycle or mastering a new wilderness survival skill. He often showed his love of family by serving elaborate feasts, including his own cured prosciutto, homemade cheeses, wild foraged mushrooms, and delicious BBQ.

Kent was a thoughtful professional and cherished working directly with patients and his teams. He was often moved by the actions of others, and always willing to teach someone a new skill.

He will be missed by more people than he would imagine, and was too young to go.

Rest in peace.

SERVICES: Memorial visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, Missouri, 63123 on Sunday, January 30, 1 – 7 p.m.

  1. I worked closely with Kent when Gateway Ambulance took over 911 EMS for University City. We wrote that contract together and fought the naysayers in U City together. Kent was a fine, smart, hard working, and honorable young man. I liked him a lot. It was a shock reading his name today in the paper. Way too young. Way too young.

  5. We are so sorry for your loss. Words cannot convey what we are feeling and I’m sure it pales in comparison to your depth of feeling. We grieve with you.

  7. Kent was a great coworker-Genuine, down to earth, professional. He was awesome at his job. Talked of his love for his family and always put them first in conversation. He is someone I was so glad to know. May the Lord bless his family now and in the days ahead. We have truly lost a good person on this earth.

  9. Deepest heartfelt condolences to the Mayrose family. I worked with Kent for several years at ACI and he was always a kind, mild mannered soul who always made himself available when many people wouldn’t. He was thoughtful, funny and enjoyed making that impact! Kent loved to talk strategy and I was a sucker for it every time.
A wonderful human being with two beautiful daughters to carry his legacy ahead.
Thinking of your family in the weeks and months to come.
