Richard “Rick” Mazdra, 67, of St. Louis, MO, passed away on February 7, 2026, in St. Louis. He was born on March 4, 1958 in St. Louis, MO. Rick grew up in a large family and loved retelling stories of their childhood hijinks. He enjoyed participating in his family’s yearly fishing tournament (despite rarely winning), competing in his NASCAR fantasy league, and spending time on his favorite beach in Siesta Key. His family, loved ones, and those whose lives he touched will forever hold dear those memories of times shared with him.
Rick is survived by his children, Laura Mazdra, Julie Mazdra, and Kristi (Mark) Joseph; his grandchildren, Evelyn, Desmond, Margot, Kinsley, and Beckett; his siblings, Dan (Donna Sommers) Mazdra, Kevin Mazdra, Kathy (Jim) May, Mike Mazdra, John (Joan) Mazdra, Gary (Rhonda) Mazdra, Don (Beth) Mazdra; as well as his many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, John Mazdra and Evelyn Mazdra, nephew, Brian Mazdra, and niece, Shannon Mazdra.
Rick retired from Mid-America Transplant in 2024 and was a supporter of the life-saving gift of organ and tissue donation. In his honor, his family hopes that others will consider registering as donors themselves.
A visitation will be held Thursday February 19, 2026 at Affton Kutis Funeral Home at 10151 Gravois Ave. St. Louis, MO 63123 from 4pm-8pm.
