Dear father of Glennon Collier McBrady and Michelle Lynn (James Mosher III) McBrady. Dear grandfather of James “Henry” Mosher IV and Miles John Mosher. Dear son of the late John and Loretta McBrady (nee Loeffler). Loving companion of Kathy Lind. Former spouse of Judy McBrady. Our dear uncle, cousin and friend.
Mr. McBrady attended St. Louis University High School and received a full scholarship to Michigan State University where he played on the 1967 winning NCAA Soccer Championship Team. He also held the single season scoring and assist record at Michigan State University in 1965. Gary was inducted into the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame in 2001. He was an avid golfer and belonged to and enjoyed spending time at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
SERVICES: Memorial visitation will be held at Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Road Affton, Missouri 63123) Sunday March 22 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Louis Youth Soccer Association.

Gary was a tremendous influence in my life and my husband’s life as we all worked together years ago. We were lifelong friends, and I will always remember his tremendous wit and sense of humor, along with his generosity in sharing his knowledge to help others excel. The stories we remember from those times will remain forever in our hearts. He will truly be missed.💜

My senior year in high school I saw an action photo of Gary in a Sports Illustrated article detailing the huge influence of St. Louis soccer players at MSU.
I had been trying to find a school to play soccer at. Resultingly, the next day I requested an application to MSU and was soon accepted.
Several months later I went to my first soccer practice along with a group of super talented freshman, including a few from St.Louis. We scrimmaged the varsity which was basically the iconic team from the SI article. I was in awe. I had to guard Gary. Needless to say he had some fun with me. And I felt like I been chasing a wild horse for a day. Yet he was such a gentleman; encouraging and good natured. He said I could be his “protege”. I’m sure he had many.
In the ensuing years I would see him only the several times that that era’s MSU soccer teams would be honored. His manner was still the same, inclusive and genuine…… He will always remain appreciated and now missed.
Rest in peace, my friend. Your indelible mark on your SLUH Class of 1964 will be felt for years.
So sorry to hear this sad news. So many memories of Gary and family growing up in St.Louis. He was always a great guy and sprots enthusiast. I know he will be missed by his family and friends.

I will miss his comedic remarks, not only when golfing, but in almost in any environment.
I met Gary about 5 years ago through Kathy and he was always so kind and gentle.
He always knew when to make that funny comment or story. I’m sorry to see him go but know he is in a better place. My sympathy to all of the family and his special friends.
