McClenahan, Nelson Robert 

Born September 2nd 1940 in St. Louis Missouri where he lived for the first 71 years of his life, passed from this life to the next to be with his savior on January 19th 2023 at 5 am in the morning, with his children at his side.

Nelson is celebrated for a life well lived. For his love of family, friends, all things engineering, bowling, hunting and fishing with his buds. For his love of baseball, the Gateway Corkball Club, Bar-B-Q and fish fries, and his faith in Christ Jesus.  A life redeemed is a life well lived, and Nelson finished his race strong, right to the end.

Nelson is survived by his 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister, stepbrother and brother-in-law.  Children Lisa Reinkemeyer and husband Robert, their 6 children Matt (Jen), David (Courtney), Andrew, Joseph (Emily), Peter, and Paul as well as 6 great grandchildren; Isabelle, Madeleine, Isaac, Meredith, Miriam, Aidan.  Barbara McClenahan, her 2 daughters Megan Dunville, Brianna Hendrian (Greg) and a great grandson; Archer.  Thomas McClenahan and wife Kandi, their 3 children Brandon (Raven), Britani Ellison (Brandon) and Jason (Taylor) as well as 2 great grandchildren; Saylor and Sutton.  Steve McClenahan (Stacy) and son, Steven Douglas. Dearest sister Rita Francis (nee McClenahan), step-brother Robert “Bobbie” Diehl, and brother-in-law John Oberlohr.

Two (2) Celebration of Life Ceremonies will take place.  The first in Lake Ozark Mo on Friday January 27th from 3:30 to 6:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church (Bagnel Dam Blvd) and the second ceremony in St. Louis Mo on Saturday January 28th at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. St. Louis, MO. 63123  with visitation from 9:30 to 11 am with funeral services beginning at 11 am and interment at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery immediately following (noon).

In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage that any donations or kindnesses be directed toward: City Seniors, Inc. (aka Bevo Senior Center), 4705 Ridgewood Ave, Saint Louis, MO 63116 Or the nearest participating SLAAA Senior Center in your neighborhood.
