McGhee

In Loving Memory

McGhee, Elise Marie

Saturday, February 18, 2023.  Dear daughter of William and Courtney McGhee.  Dear sister of Meaghan, Ian, Stephen (ashley), Erin (Jeremy) and Kaitlyn.  Dear granddaughter of Richard McGhee and the late Marie McGhee, Harold and Marillyn Schaus.  Loyal friend to Jason, Avigale, Taylor and many more.  Our dear niece, cousin and friend.

Elise gave us all such an important lesson in life: love all creatures, large and small, and all people- including those on the margins of life.  She had a huge place in her heart for animals and took special care of so many- including disabled rats/mice and hamsters, a paralyzed ferret, lizards- basically any animal that needed love.  Elise loved simply and sincerely, Elise loved without condition and Elise was loved by many.

SERVICES:  Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Road on Saturday, February 25, 10:00 a.m. until funeral service at 12:00 noon.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Wounded Warriors or the Humane Society of Missouri appreciated.

  1. While I may not have been able to know her well enough I did know though the small times that we did meet that she was someone that cared very deeply about those around her whether human or animal.

  15. I worked with her for some time and we would giggle and have fun. I was happy to see that there was more people ing this would that cared for animals like me. She never judged me for having anxiety and learning disabilities. I will miss her so much.

  23. Bill and Courtney: It was such a sobering moment when we learned of the passing of Elise. I have witnessed and admired the love and appreciation all of your family shares with each other. The strength you have instilled in your family will surely hope you get through this difficult time. Elise like Cathy and I appreciate the peace , trust, and unconditional love that animals can help us in times of sorrow and grief. Elise will not join Harold, Marillyn, Jim, Stephen, and Tommy in Heaven.

Love, and prayers to all who mourn Elise. John and Carol C.
