McGinnis

In Loving Memory

McInnis, Jane Elizabeth (née Fechter)

June 15, 1927 - July 10, 2025

Fortified with The Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Theresa Fechter, her husband James Joseph McInnis, her children James Kevin McInnis (surviving Barbara) and Kathleen Ann McInnis Schaeffer, her granddaughter Anne Marie Schaeffer, and her siblings John Paul (Pat) Fechter, and Mary Ellen (Bob) Schwartz.

Jane is survived by her children Michael (Mary Beth) McInnis, Peggy (Jim) Krupp, and Mary Pat McInnis; and fifteen grandchildren: Matthew (Kate) McInnis, Christopher (Laura) McInnis, and Jill (John) McInnis; Liz Lane and James (Maggie) Schaeffer; Kelly McInnis, Maureen (Scott Wenzel) McInnis, Mary Jane (Emily) Nicklies, and Patrick (Nancy) McInnis; Katie (Paul) Weber, Megan (Andrew) Williams, Kevin (Gina) Krupp, Michael Krupp, and Kelly Krupp; and Theresa McInnis.  She is also survived by eighteen – and soon to be nineteen – great-grandchildren: Miles, Henry, and Graham McInnis; Jane and Max McInnis; Mara McInnis; Annabelle Martinez; Desmond and Felix Schaeffer; William and Elizabeth Wenzel; Calvin, Benjamin, and Baby Girl Nicklies; Owen McInnis; Gus, Olivia, and Jane Weber; and Maren Williams.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Jane attended St. Teresa grade school at Grand and North Market and St. Joseph’s Academy when it was located in Clayton, Missouri.  She and her husband Jim raised their children in Immaculate Conception Parish in Maplewood, Missouri, and for the last fifty years she was a devoted member of Our Lady of Providence parish in Crestwood, Missouri, where she regularly attended daily Mass.

Jane and Jim enjoyed spending time with their many friends, traveling together, and especially loved dancing with each other when the band played Mack the Knife.  After Jim’s passing, Grandma Jane (as she was known by everyone) had twenty-nine wonderful years watching her close-knit clan’s bond strengthen manyfold through endless love and lots of laughter.

Mass will be held July 24, 2025, at Our Lady of Providence Church on 8866 Pardee Road, Crestwood, Missouri, at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM.  Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

  1. I send heartfelt condolences to the extended McInnis family. I have many memories of your family from years at Immaculate Conception in Maplewood and your lasting friendship with my uncle and Dierkes cousins.
Jane was a lovely lady who suffered many losses in her 98 years. As a person of great faith I know she is reunited with her loved ones and deeply missed by her survivors.
