McKay, Terry (Bob) George was born on September, 21, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to George and Helen (nee Kern) McKay, and entered into rest on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the age of 88.
Loving husband of 45 years to the late Adeline (nee Mierkowski) McKay. Dear father of Sharon Mckay, Janis (James) Brown, and Jeff (Dana)McKay. Dear brother of LaVerne Thul, Joan (Richard) Svejkowski, Charlie (Barb) McKay, Kathleen (Mike) Tustanowsky, George (Dorothy) McKay, Lorraine (Cliff) Politte, Gloria (Tom) Higgins, and Richard McKay. Loving grandfather of Justin Brown, Alex (Teena) Brown, Daniel McKay, and Sarah McKay. Dear great-grandpa of Kayden, Sawyer, and Delia. Dear cousin, uncle, and friend of many.
Terry was a proud Marine Veteran who served during the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post 111 of Shrewsbury. He worked for many years in the commercial printing industry. His enjoyment consisted of maintaining his home and property, vacationing with friends and family and playing slots at the casino. He also enjoyed listening to jazz vocalists like Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennett as well as others from that era, and old movies.
His family would like to offer their deepest appreciation to the nurses and staff of Twin Oaks Senior Living for their excellent care.
SERVICES: A VISITATION will be held on Sunday, September 8 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Kutis South County Chapel 5355 Lemay Ferry Rd. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Monday, September 9 at 9:30 am. Burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in his honor appreciated to Folds of Honor.
