Megl

In Loving Memory

Megl, Martin A. “Marty”

Born April 25, 1965, entered the gates of Heaven on September 14, 2021, after a three-year illness. Beloved son of Raymond and the late Doris Megl, dearest brother of Mark (Amanda), the late Michael (Cindy), Matthew (Laura), the late Maureen, Margi Pennington (Jim), and Maxwell (Debie); awesome uncle to many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, cousin, nephew, and friend to many.

Marty was one of the former owners of Parrot’s Sports Bar & Grill. He loved owning a restaurant/bar and was a fantastic chef, a comedian and a singing superstar in his own mind, and a huge St. Louis Sports fan. He never met a stranger, never left anyone hungry, was always singing, and loved to make people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his mother Doris (2015), sister Maureen (2011), brother Michael (2014), all his grandparents, several aunts and uncles, many cousins and relatives, and his best friends Jim Bonzon and Donny Steingruebe.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 3rd, from 2-4pm, with a memorial dedication beginning at 3pm, held at Kutis Funeral Homes Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, St. Louis MO 63123.
