Menees, James “Jim” Alfred

Peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, February 18, 2017.

Beloved husband of the late Mabel (nee Blankenship); father of Jimmy (Tammy) Menees and Patti (Paul) Treis; grandfather of Lauren, Daniel, Brendan and Rebecca; he is preceded in death by his parents Ernest Menees and Gladys (nee Meisenheimer) and sisters Ernestine and Sarah (Buck).

Born in Anna, Illinois, Jim proudly served our country during the Korean War in the United States Navy.  Jim retired from Southwestern Bell after 31 years of service.  He enjoyed boating, camping and watching all sporting events. He was the kindest and most decent person anyone could have known.  He was a loving father, uncle, cousin and dear friend to all who knew him.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd., Thursday, February 23, 12 noon.  Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.  Visitation, Wednesday, 4-8 pm.
