Mertz, Kathryn D., (nee Apenbrinck) passed away on October 12, 2018. Beloved wife of Gerald Mertz; dear sister of Edwin (Michelle) and Robert  (Linda) Apenbrinck, Lillian “Sis” Chandler, Janet O’Shea, Carolyn “Tuts” Wadlow, Dorothy “Dottie” Barresi and the late Jim (Mary survives) and Duke Apenbrinck; dear sister-in-law of Tom (Mary) Mertz, Joan (Stan) Mengwasser, Susie (Greg) Stewart and the late John (Mary survives), William (Julie) and Bob (Kathy) Mertz and MaryAnn (Roger survives) Otto; our beloved aunt, great-aunt, Godmother, cousin and friend. Mrs. Mertz retired from  Laclede Gas in 2004.

Services: Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255  Lemay Ferry Rd.  Wednesday, October 17, 10:00 a.m. Interment JB National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to  Siteman Cancer Center. Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 p.m.
