Messmer, Marie Consuelo ‘Connie’

Messmer, Marie Consuelo ‘Connie’  (nee De Arriba), died peacefully in the presence of her children and many grandchildren Thurs., December 29, 2016, beloved wife of the late Thomas L. Messmer; companion to Bobby Vonderhaar; dear daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her parents Casiano and Mercedes, siblings Benjamin (Gladys) and Richard, Marcella (Everett) Jarvis, and grandson Benjamin Messmer. She is survived by her children Charles “Chuck” and his wife Kathy Messmer of Newbury  Park, CA, Judy and her husband  Jerry Kent of Town and Country,  Craig and his wife Lisa of Oakville, and Thomas and his wife Kelly Messmer of Ballwin; grandchildren  Keith and his wife Karin Messmer, Elizabeth and her husband Dan Ahrens, Stacey and her husband Gabe Cervantes, Cassandra Messmer, Matthew and his wife Ana Kent and Rachel Kent, Emilie Messmer, Thommy and Isabel Messmer; great-grandchildren Emma Singh, Lana and Logan Messmer, Liliana and Noah Cervantes. Connie was a longtime travel agent, owner of Travel Express, in South St. Louis County, member of the Lady Elks Lodge 2726, Cleveland HS ’57. She loved so many. We miss her wonderful laugh and love of life.

Visitation at St. Matthias Catholic Church Tues., Jan. 3, 9:30 a.m. until funeral Mass at 11:30. Interment Wed., Jan. 4, 12:45pm at National Cemetery. Memorials to Mercy Hospital or the American Lung Association appreciated. KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel.
