Willie R. Mills age 93, Wednesday, July 15, 2026. He was born November 16, 1932 in Bemis, Tennessee to the late Ray L. and Grace M. (nee: Sills) Mills; dear husband of Ava J. (nee: Kuykendall) Mills for 53 years; dear father of Sarah A. Johnson-Bain, Thomas R. Mills, Michael W. Mills and the late Danny R. Mills, step dad of Debra J. Cooper-Fletcher and James C. Cooper; dear grandpa of Christopher Mills, Zach C. Cooper and the late Thomas R. Mills, Jr. and Ariel B. Cooper who they adopted shortly after birth. She preceded him in death and it devastated him. Dear great grandpa of Alura C. Mills, Brielle M. Mills and Gavin R. Mills; dear brother of the late Betty Jo Sigler, Ralph B. Mills and Rebecca N. Walker; a very close family friend Robert Dane.
He worked for General Motors for 45 years and then retired from there; he was always kind and generous, he never complained and was protective of his family, he was an avid hunter (who loved to go deer hunting, it was hard for him to not be able to go hunting anymore.)
Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road Tuesday, July 21, 2026, 10am until service 12pm. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery.
