In Loving Memory

Moellering, David Lee

David Lee Moellering  After living a wonderful life of 80 years, Dave was called to his heavenly home on October 29, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. David was born in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Mercedes and Edward Moellering.

David is survived by his wife Janice (Jan) of 40 years, his son Brian Moellering (Christy), daughter Dawn Moellering and stepson Gordon Stout (Tina); his grandchildren Emily Moellering, Abby Gaeng, Jackson Gaeng, and Zachary Stout. He was a dear brother to Deborah Tafra (Philip) and the late Betty Ed Gabriel (Fred). Dear brother-in-law, uncle to nieces, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, many firefighters, police officers and friends.

David’s greatest joy was having the privilege to serve 32 years as a Firefighter in the City of Brentwood Fire Department, retiring in 2001 as a senior captain.

David is a proud veteran who served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965. He is a member of American Legion Post #208 in Manchester, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations to BackStoppers or The Humane Society of St. Louis appreciated.
