Mohesky, Lois (Lou) Elizabeth

(nee Tombrink) passed peacefully at home on May 6, 2021 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late         Melbern (Moe) Mohesky; loving mother of Catherine Mohesky (David Schlemeyer) of Columbia, Missouri, Zoe Mohesky (Dan Hall) of Missoula, Montana, Linda (Paul) Aiken of St. Louis; dear sister of Audrey Grigsby of Shreveport, Louisiana and sister-in-law of Robert (Bob) Mohesky of Steelville, Missouri; dear grandmother of Lydia, Amanda, Korey, Lucas, and Weston; step-grandmother to Jeff and Aaron; dear aunt and friend.

Lois graduated from SE Missouri State with a degree in Education and taught in many capacities over the years. She loved to learn new things about people and places and share with those around her as a camp counselor, a 5th-grade teacher at Reavis Elementary, a Girl Scout leader, and a Sunday School teacher at St. Phillip’s UCC.  She went on to enjoy working with the faculty, staff, and students of Eden Seminary. She and Moe enjoyed camping, boating, and visiting National Parks in their RV. Lois enjoyed life and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Lois was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Services: Visitation Monday, May 24 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Funeral Service Tuesday, May 25 at 11:30 a.m. (family will receive visitors from 10:30 am to the time of service) at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois.

Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
