It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Merry Elizabeth Morrison, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, on October 27, 2025, at the age of 71.
Born on August 19, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, Merry lived a life filled with love, creativity, and devotion to her family. She was the cherished wife of Michael X. Morrison for 50 wonderful years, a loving mother to Kristine (Derek) Lake, Karen (Jason) Morrison Linn, Jennifer (Taka) Takemura, Michael Morrison, and Zachary (Kelsey) Morrison, and a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren: Genevieve, Annalise, Teagan, and Fiona Lake; Evan, Lucas, and Logan Linn; Michelle and Tyler Takemura; and Liam, Elijah, and Killian Morrison, who brought her endless joy.
Merry was outgoing, witty, and full of life. She had a talent for crafting—crocheting, scrapbooking, and making handmade cards—which she shared with family and friends. Above all, she cherished time with her family, bringing energy, warmth, and a playful spirit to every moment spent together.
Those who knew Merry will remember her generous heart, creativity, sharp wit, and unwavering love for those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of family, humor, and kindness that will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Morrison; her five children; her 12 beloved grandchildren; and her brothers, Harry Stoetzer Jr. and Steven Stoetzer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Harry Stoetzer, and her brother, William Stoetzer.
A celebration of Merry’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 5th, at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton (10151 Gravois, St. Louis, MO 63123) from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I loved Merry and she was such a joy at work. She was so loving and caring!! I think about her often.
I am really going to miss Merry’s contagious smile and laughter. She brightened any room she entered. I enjoyed crafting with her either in person or online via WebEx.
I’m sorry to hear of Merry passing. Haven’t seen her in years. But we keep track on Facebook. We had such good times when are girls were little in Spanish Lake. So much fun in Girl Scouts and she was a wonderful person. I’m sure she will be missed.
