Muehlhauser, Fred C.

Age 86, passed away on Saturday Dec. 7, 2019 due to complications from Parkinsons disease.

Born in Dupo, Illinois on Dec. 10, 1932 Fred was the son of Fred and Frieda (Schellhardt) Muehlhauser Sr. and was the youngest of four siblings. Fred was a graduate of McKinley High School in St. Louis and a veteran of the Korean War where he received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, along with other medals and commendations. Fred became a structural draftsmen and designer and worked on many well known projects in the St. Louis, Kansas City and Illinois areas.

Some of his favorite hobbies included woodworking projects, bowling, going to his lake house, fishing, reading and the St. Louis Blues.
Fred was kind and loving and will be dearly missed by his wife of 46 years, Geraldine Muehlhauser (Haug), his son Charles Muehlhauser (Vicki), daughter Sue Funke (Kevin), stepchildren Jeff Sherwood (Sandy), Scott Sherwood (Debbie), Lori Winters (Chris), and Steven (Susie) Sherwood, along with 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. He was a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be Wednesday Dec. 11th from 4 to 9 at Kutis Funeral Home 10151 Gravois, St. Louis, MO 63123, Service will be held Thursday Dec, 12th at Kutis and burial following at Jefferson Barracks.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Michael J. Fox Foundation or Parkinson’s Foundation are greatly appreciated.
