Mueller

In Loving Memory

Mueller, Richard Fredrick

May 3, 1945 – February 20, 2022

Richard Fredrick Mueller passed away on Sunday February 20, 2022, following a battle with Covid complicated by his chronic arthritis.  He went to heaven peacefully surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on Thursday, May 3, 1945.  He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Frieda (nee. Engel) Mueller.  Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Tina (nee. Sacco); 3 daughters, Michelle Roberts (husband Randall), Christina Salzman (fiancé Andy) and Angela Smith (Husband Michael); His Brother, Edward Mueller (wife Cathy); and 6 Grandchildren.

He loved being in the woods and spending time on the lake. As an avid barefoot water skier in his youth, he would captain his beloved sky-blue Malibu Skier boat around for hours patiently teaching anyone who wanted to learn.  Nothing made him happier than encouraging young skiers even after countless falls.

Rich was an artist who spent his life creating – from cartoon doodles to uniquely fun playhouses for his grandchildren.  He also designed and built a beautiful log cabin that he loved to share as a gathering space for friends and family.  Most recently, he completed his bucket list by restoring and winning 1st place with his 1957 Chevy BelAir.  Rich was one of a kind.  He was a truly great man who led by example.  He was kind to everyone, never judgmental and always willing to lend a hand, tool, advice or opinion.  Rich was a jack of all trades, a true McGyver.  A lifelong problem-solver, patient teacher, a gentleman, faithful and peaceful soul.  He was and always will be an example of a man who deeply loved his family and enjoyed a life well-lived.

  7. I’m so sorry to hear that Richard has passed , I will always remember all the good times Judy and I had with your family down at the lake . I so enjoyed helping him build your log house but I’m not so sure how much help I really was. Richard was a very talented man . Richard was a very good man . I haven’t seen Richard in a long time but I will miss the fact that he simply isn’t with us anymore. I’m also glad that he got that rusty old chevy in shape.

  11. Micki,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I really enjoyed working with him in my earlier years at P&G. There were many people that brought him up to me when the funeral announcement went out, and all did so with many fond memories of him. We will keep him and your family in our prayers.
