Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Friday, May 19, 2023. Beloved husband of Patricia “Pat” Muth (nee Johnson) for 58 years. Dearest father of Kathy Tempel, Maureen (Tim) Cashel and the late Mike Muth. Loving grandfather of Sophie and Seamus Tempel, Meghan (Adam) Jones and Sam Cashel. Great-grandfather of Charlie and Vincent. Dear brother of Jack (Patricia) and Rich (Cindy) Muth, Mary Cherrick and Margaret (Dr. Joseph) Norfray. Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Longtime educator in the Webster School District.

SERVICES:  Memorial Mass at Annunciation Catholic Church on Saturday, June 3 at 11AM. Arrangements by KUTIS AFFTON Chapel.

    I had Mr Muth ” Jim ” at Plymouth Jr high.
    He was a wonderful teacher

  2. Thank you David Reed. I totally understand. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers and speaking so highly of my Jim. I know he was a wonderful teacher & knew his Geography & History so well. I miss him so much but I know he is in heaven!!

  3. I, too, was a student of Mr. Muth’s at Plymouth back in the 1970s (1972-1974 if memory serves ). I remember his quiet, calming presence which — in retrospect — is even more appreciated.

    Bob & I are so sorry to hear of Jim’s passsing. We still can’t believe this because we were just “kids together. We will be unable to come to the memorial mass because of our grandson’s graduation but you will both be in our thoughts and prayers.

  7. He was a lovely man and teacher. I will always have warm memories of him. He made a positive impact on my life. I wish his family comfort and prayers. May he rest in peace.
