March 24, 1936 - May 4, 2025

Charles R. Nahlik, age 89, of Eureka Missouri, fell asleep in Christ on Sunday, May 4, 2025. He was born in St. Louis Missouri on March 24,1936 to the late Edward and Mildred E (nee Frederitzi) Nahlik; beloved husband of Faith M (nee Baker) Nahlik; loving father of Vickey (Larry) Owen and Jeffrey (Mary) Nahlik; loving grandfather of Larry “Buck” (Tracy) Owen, April (Randy) Kidd, Brian (Christee), David, and Jason Nahlik; great grandfather of 11 and great great grandfather of 3; dear brother of the late Robert E (Carol) Nahlik. Dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Charlie loved fishing and woodworking and enjoyed visiting with all his family. Baptized at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St Louis June 6, 1936. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1955. He joined the Missouri National Guard in October 1957. He was called to active duty at the time of the Berlin Crisis in October 1961. He served at Ft. Bragg N.C. with the 204th Signal Battalion until release from active duty in August 1962 to the Missouri National Guard, then received an honorable discharge in August 1963.

Services: Visitation for Charlie will be held on Friday, May 9, from 4 to 7 pm at Kutis Funeral Home , 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, St Louis, Missouri. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 11:00 am at St Paul’s Lutheran Church at 6550 State Route 21, Imperial, Missouri. Interment Shepherd Hills Cemetery, 1925 Old State Rd M, Barnhart, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Imperial, Missouri.

  2. Our family was sad to hear about your loss of Charlie. We had so many great memories years ago of our camping trips and just spending time together. I will be sure to let Mary Schwalbert know that he and Kenny are now fisherman’s in heaven. I have my hopes and prayers for you all. Love your faith…
