Dorothy L. Nanna (nee Dane), 87, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Thursday, November 14, 2024.  Beloved wife of Donald G. Nanna, Sr. for 68 years. Daughter of the late Clifford and Lorine Dane; Dear mother of Donald G. (Lynn) Nanna, Jr., the late Jeffrey W. Nanna, and Christine M. (Joseph) Jones; doting grandma of John (Selina) Nanna, Mark (Jennifer) Galanti, Alyse Nanna, Anthony (Kristi) Jones, and Zachary (Sydney) Jones. Dear great-grandmother of Christian Galanti, Cameron Galanti, Julianna Nanna, and Lillian Jones. Sister of the late Victor (Sheila) Dane, Darline (Clinton) Crabtree, and John Dane, aunt, cousin and treasured friend to many.

Dot enjoyed spending time with family, dancing with her favorite dance partner, Don, crocheting, fishing, camping, traveling, crafts, collecting hummingbird figurines. Her first date with Don was to a movie. She continued to enjoy watching movies her entire life. She always enjoyed spending time with her girlfriends from McKinley High School in St. Louis. Dot loved to sing since she was little and was thrilled to sing in the Clarendale choir. 

A special thank you to Clarendale St. Peters, an extended family to Dot and Don. We appreciate your great compassion, friendship, hugs, and support.

We appreciate the amazing help Dot received from AW Therapy. We’re especially grateful to Solace Hospice and their excellent caregivers who took wonderful care of her during the last week. We could not have gone through this without each and every one of you! We felt the love every day.

The Nanna family is appreciative to all our friends, family, and neighbors who prayed for her, visited, and always asked how they could help. We appreciate you more than you will ever know. Thank you.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Sunday, November 17 from 4-8 pm. then at Annunziata Catholic Church 9305 Clayton Rd. 63124 on Monday, November 18 from 9:30 am. until Funeral Mass time at 10:00 am. Interment at Lakewood Park Cemetery.

  1. Dorothy, you are going to be missed. You and Don have always been two of my favorite cousins in Randy’s family. We have made some beautiful memories together and I will cherish them forever. May you rest in peace ❤️

  2. It was such a joy to watch Don and Dot dancing to the live band during Friday afternoon Happy Hour here at Clarendale. The smile on her face while they were dancing said it all. My sincere sympathy to Don and all her family. Marty
