  2. Condolences to the entire Nassif family. Ameal was truly one of a kind. He was there for me and my biz partner Bobby Mintz whenever we were in St Louis. I will always cherish the time we spent together at the Church lunches and at the Collectors Shows he worked tirelessly for us. May his memory always be a blessing and his spirit live forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

  4. Dear Geri and Nassif Family,
Ameal lived a beautiful life with his family and friends. He was always ready to help anyone. I knew him from volunteering at the church. Also my Mom grew up with all the Lebanese families when she went to St. Vincent’s School. All of you are in my prayers. I was blessed by Ameal’s kindness. May he rest in peace

  5. On behalf of the descendants of the late Joseph R. and Monietta M. (nee Elias) Slay who, in 1912, arrived in St. Louis as teenagers from the District of Mount Lebanon, the Village of Hadchit, we offer our most heartfelt condolences to Ameal’s family. Know too, that we share in your sorrow and grieve for your loss.

Not only did Ameal maintain the Nassif family legacy, but he also enhanced it with his overwhelming kindness, dedication to his family and loyalty to our traditions.

Although gone from this life, Ameal’s spirit will forever be on the grounds of St. Raymond’s and particularly in the kitchen of “The Hall” where his Kibbeh Nayeh rivaled that of our own Thita’s.

  6. Dear Ameal,

Thanks for the memories. You invited me to come down to St Raymond’s and make kibbi. I took up your invitation and I’m so glad I did since I could work next to you and hear all your stories of playing baseball, your take on family life, and your stories of the Mard and Nassif families. You always made me feel part of your family. When the last bowl of kibbi had only a few specks of meat you would make a tiny kibbi and hand it to me to take home. I loved the Lebanese jiggle you taught me “Kibbi Nayee, but en jen, bena dula, laha mishwee.” It’s on my phone for keeps! And to Geri, such a lady of grace. You got a good one and she took good care of you. Your legend lives on…
