Sallie Lala Needham

Needham, Sallie Lala (nee Graham) entered into rest on Friday, September 22, 2023. Beloved wife and friend of Ted Needham for over 50 years’; loving mother of Amie (Jacqulyn) Nolan-Needham, Tim (Emily) Needham and the late Brian Needham; loving granny of Caleb, Peter, Eli and Noah; daughter of the late Alfred and Juanita Graham; treasured sister of Dr. Ken Graham and David (the late D.J.) Graham; our dear aunt, great-aunt, inspiring author and friend to many.

Sallie was a published author of the novel “I’ll Be There with Bells On”, interior designer and a lifelong advocate of St. Jude Chidren’s Research Hospital. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family whom she adored. We know she is gone…. but will continue to live in our hearts forever.

A celebration of Sallie’s incredible life will be held at  South Side Church of God (12145 Tesson Ferry Rd. 63128) on Tuesday, September 26, 6-8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the South Side Church of God on Wednesday, September 27, 10 a.m.

In Lieu of flowers, donations in Sallie’s memory can be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital http://wwwstjude.org or her son Tim’s organization Restoration House STL https://restorationhousestl.org/, which is an organization commited to helping homeless youth in need.

  5. Sallie was a good friend for many years. We loved sharing recipes whether we ever planned to make them or not. We didn’t live close but our hearts were bonded in a special way. I look forward to seeing her again. I pray that those sweet memories of healthier days will bring you all comfort as you grieve. Love and Hugs to your family.
