Nelson, Bobby Gene

Bobby Gene Nelson, 75, of Arnold Missouri passed away Sun. Sept. 14, 2025, at Mercy South Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Bobby was a proud worker for H.H. Robertson inc steel workers union.

He was deeply loved by all who knew him -whether for a lifetime or a brief encounter. Bobby had a gift for making people laugh, a heart that loved bigger than most, and a faith that guided his life. He was an active member of his church, where he joyfully sang gospel music and played guitar in service to the Lord.

Family was Bobby’s greatest joy. He cherished every moment spent with them and left behind countless memories filled with laughter, music, and love.

Bobby was survived by his Wife Brenda, his Daughter Sarah Chilton, and grandchildren Dillon (Alyssa) Nelson, and great grandchildren, Colten, Benjamin, and Madalynn Nelson, Collin (Lexi) Chilton and great grandchild Hazel, Son Nathan Nelson and grandchildren Noah Nelson, Tatum Nelson, Asher Nelson, Kennis Nelson, Caleb Gold Nelson and great granddaughter, Ryot Canoy Nelson. Daughter Kari (Steven) Politte, and grandchildren Andrew Politte and Annabell Politte. His Daughter Kati (Chirs) McNamee, Son Michael Dolan Jr, and grandchildren Alex dolan,and Sam dolan, daughter Angie (Reginald Jr,) Reese, grandchildren Ashley Reese, Jazmyn Reese, Tre Reese, and great grandchildren Kingston Connors and Karter Reese. His brothers Bill (Renee) Nelson, and Rick (Tammy) Nelson, and many Nieces and cousins, and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his Parents Wilbert Nelson and  Dormalee Nelson and his Son John Dean.

His favorite Bible scripture was Proverbs 3:5-6 “trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”

He left us all with a special message: ” Get your hearts right with God, walk with him and live a life for God so that we can see each other again. He is coming soon.”

Services: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Tues. Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
