LaVern Frances Nichols (née Lawson), of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born on June 11, 1934.
LaVern was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Bryan Nichols, Jr., whom she married on September 25, 1950, and by her infant son, Michael Nichols.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Nichols (Melanie) and Christopher Nichols (Denise Harmeyer); her grandchildren, T.J. (Kelly), Lauren (Jeff), and Jake (Colleen); and her great-grandchildren, Andy, Ben, Josh, Elise, Zack, Emily, Madison, Matthew, and Emma.
LaVern loved to travel and treasured spending time playing cards with her dear friends. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed watching it grow through the generations. She will be remembered with love and greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Monday, August 3 form 5-8 pm. with Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 4 at 10:00 am. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
