Niehaus, Richard J. “Dick”

Age 82, passed away on September 28, 2024, in St. Louis, MO. Born on October 18, 1941, Richard dedicated over three decades of his life to Fleming Printing Company, where his commitment and hard work were well recognized.

An avid fisherman, Richard also found joy as a member of the Alton Gun Club and was deeply involved in the printing community. His commitment extended to his role as a life-long member of the Knights of Columbus, where he actively participated in various community service and charitable activities.

Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Niehaus (nee Wessel); children Margie Jones, Michael Niehaus, Julie Allen (Thomas Allen), and Amy Pesek (Matthew Pesek); grandchildren Michael Niehaus Jr. (Fox Niehaus), Heather Jones, Patrick Allen, Emily Allen, Justin Pesek, Megan Pesek, Julia Pesek, and Alexander Pesek; and great-grandson Zachary Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Bessie Niehaus.

Richard’s life was marked by his dedication to his family, his career, and his hobbies, which brought him much joy and fulfillment. He will be remembered for his loyalty, his enduring patience, and his ability to bring people together.

Services; A memorial service will be held at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church (4900 Ringer Road St. Louis, MO 63129) on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 10:00am, with reception to follow.
