Niewald (nee Grissom) for 61 years; loving father of Frances “Jeanne” (the late Larry Jr.) Hummel, James (Claudia) Niewald, Janet (Tim) Eckhardt and John (Chris) Niewald; dearest grandpa of Nicole, Matthew, Erin, Billy, Gloria, Tim Herbert and Anna; great-grandpa of Riley; dear brother of Harry, Raymond and Ervin; brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Herb was a proud marine and a retiree from Nooter Corporation after 38 years of services.

Services: Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Friday, October 28, 10 a.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Toys For Tots. Visitation Thursday, 4-8 p.m
