Ronald “Ron” Oberkirsch passed away on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022 at the age of 76 in his hometown of St. Louis, MO. Beloved husband of Bonita “Bonnie” (nee Prince) Oberkirsch; loving father of Ronald (Kris Gallina) Oberkirsch, Tracy (Peter) Hanewinkel, Christine (David) Mertzlufft, Lori (Jamie) Stanfill; cherished Papa to Zachary, Ashley, Courtney, Taylor, Lexi,  Elizabeth and Madison. Ron was a member of the Carpenters Union Local N0.1596 from 1965-1989 when he retired.  Once retired he continued to stay active by attending meetings and social union gatherings. He was a very loyal, dedicated and giving man who cherished life, laughter and love.  He was a man of great character, kind-hearted, passionate, helpful and would stop everything he was doing to help others.  He brought so much joy to our family and will continue to show his love through the lessons and teachings of the importance of family.  Most special to Ron were his family, friends, Cardinals Baseball and Beer!

  1. I can’t say in words. How heartbroken I am for all. For the loss of a great man like Ron. He is and always will be a kind soul.
Even after all these years . We still would talk baseball. When I seen him.

The times we went to Springfield minor league games. Or even the jr Blues game.

We had a lot in common. Our love for sports was only out done. By our love for our family. That being the one that stuck out the most! No body loves his family like Ron does. Even in heaven. His love will be felt.

Hugs to all. Healing takes time. Just like all the memories. It is with them you will find your peace.
