  15. To Charlie’s girls & extended family from an old neighbor from Meramec Street.

I have such fond memories of your family next door to my parents. The very day I turned 16 Jackie overheard my mom and I “discuss” going for my driver’s license. She offered to take me – and even gave me a quick lesson on parallel parking on the way! That meant the world to me! Fast forward 20+ years and Charlie somehow found out that I was free lancing as a database programmer. He asked me to put in a bid on a system where he was a manager & then awarded me the job. I don’t think he knew that it was my big start as an independent contractor – and I never had to get a “normal” 9-5 job again 🙂

I know we all lost touch as everyone moved away from Meramec… but some memories and people in life never really leave you.

Warmest wishes to you all… please accept my sincere condolences.
