Nancy Marie Osbourne-McFadden
December 11, 1961-November 7, 2023
Nancy was born in Covington, Kentucky on December 11, 1961 to James and Anne Osbourn. Nancy graduated from Simon Kenton High school before studying accounting at Maryville College where she graduated Sigma Cum Laude and then began working at Huber, Ring and Helm as a CPA and partner.
Nancy met the love of her life, William McFadden, in 1979 while working for a traveling photography company. While traveling for work they began their journey through life together. The two were married in New Britain Connecticut in 1981
Nancy was the Step-mother to Christina Anderson and Julie Jones. She also helped with raising her grandson John Zipperer II. Her family was woven by choice but strengthened by love.
Though she loved church, spending time with friends and gardening, Nancy’s favorite role was that of a grandparent. She treasured her time with the grandkids and loved being their Nana. She never failed to show up for their important life events and always sent Christmas cookies; double of their favorite.
Nancy was an active member of Crosspoint Church. She was also a member of community bible study where she served on the servance team.
Anyone who knew Nancy knew how much she loved her church, family, accounting and gardening. Most mornings you could find Nancy outdoors tending to her flowers and listening to gospel music on her radio. She enjoyed the friendly banter with the neighbors and always had a quick, witty response.
Nancy will always be remembered for her integrity and the way that she always showed up with a helping hand for her family, friends, church and community. We will always remember hearing her say “It’s the principle of the matter” one more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better wife, step-mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend. We will miss Nancy every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, James Osbourn, mother Anne Osbourn, brother Robert Osbourn, brother David Osbourn, sister Janie Osbourn and step-daughter Julie Jones.
She is survived by her husband William McFadden, step-daughter Christina Anderson, grandchildren Jacob McFadden, Candice Woodward, Peyton Blakemore, John Zipperer II, brother James Osbourn, sisters Sharon Dwelley, Mary Braum, brother Joseph Osbourn, brother Donald Osbourn and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great grandchildren and all of those she loved and touched deeply.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday November 16, 2023 at 10:00a.m. at Crosspoint Church located at 5001 Little Rock Road, St. Louis, MO 63128. KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY SERVICE.
So glad I had to the opportunity to get to know Nancy in my small group at Crosspoint. Nancy had a great sense of humor and a very caring heart for others. I admired that she knew her bible inside and out. I know she was not afraid of leaving this earth knowing what she had to look forward to. May God give the family that has to say the hard goodbye to her much comfort in the next few months.
I am so sorry to hear of Nancy’s death. Seemed like yesterday we were all out for dinner! She was always warm and friendly. May God hold her in his loving arms.
