Ottoline, Daniel C., Sr.

Daniel C. Ottoline Sr. died December 31, 2024 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Rickermann) for 64 years. Father of Laura M. (Joseph) Stahlschmidt, Daniel C. (Edith) Ottoline jr., and Joseph A. Ottoline. Grandfather of Alexander E. (Evan) Ottoline-Lemaster, Abigail E. (Chad) Ottoline-Barrick, Kayleigh A. (Josiah) Marzano, and Alena Stahlschmidt, and Great Grandfather of Rosealine.

Dan Sr. was employed by Otis elevator for approximately 40 years, and was a member of IUEC Local #3. Serving as the Business Agent, President, and on the Executive Board, with numerous other positions within the union.

He was appointed by Mel Carnahan to the State of Missouri Elevator Safety Board through his term. Along with serving the National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities International. He was the NEIEP instructor of the year 1991 and 1992 Southwest Region.

After retirement he served on the I.A.F.F. local 1889 as the Director of the Mehlville Fire Board for the Mehlville, MO District.

He was a member of Assumption Parish for 58 years. Dan also served on the Assumption Parish School Board, as well as President of the Athletic Association, and as a Coach and Assistant Coach on numerous teams. Plus achieving the ultimate goal of winning City-County Championship for his senior girls Soccer Team.

A memorial Mass is scheduled for February 1st, 2025 at 11:00 am at Assumption Church located at 4725 Mattis Rd., St. Louis, MO 63128 in South County. Burial will follow the Mass in Assumption Cemetery.
