Robert (Bob) Pahmeier passed away on Monday, July 24th, 2023. Born in Chamois, Missouri in 1932 to Marie (Czeschin) and Robert Pahmeier, Sr., Bob was a 1950 graduate of Eureka, Missouri High School. He was an avid reader whose passion for learning never waned, and in 1983, he graduated from Washington University, an accomplishment he was particularly proud of. Another lifelong passion was golf, a game he always found time to play and watch. He got his first hole-in-one at age 85!
Bob was a Navy veteran who served in Korea. He worked for Cupples Products (later known as H. H. Robertson Company) for 41 years in a position which allowed him to travel the world, to work and enjoy Ireland, Germany, France, and Italy, to name just a few of his travel destinations. His work, as a product estimator, included projects such as the World Trade Center, the Sears Tower, and the Hancock Building.
Bob also worked for his church, Peace UCC, as a longtime usher and served on several committees, including the building and grounds committee, as he was devoted to maintaining the natural and structural beauty of that church. He also played for several seasons on the church softball team where his innate athleticism was an asset.
Bob Pahmeier will be profoundly missed by his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Eleanor and Lorene, and his beloved daughter Brenda Kay. He is survived by his cherished wife Barbara (known as Bobbie); his daughters Gailmarie (Don), Carol (Jerry), and son-in-law Brad (Brenda Kay); his grandsons Carson, Dylan, and Luke; and great-grandchildren Gwen, Anderson, and Charlotte. The family extends much love and gratitude to niece Mary Ann, nephew Duane, and friends Norma and Martha.
The family is planning a fall gathering to celebrate his life. He will be at eternal rest in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Bob was a great partner of a loving couple: Bob and Bobbie. He will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with Bobbie and the family.
Sending Love ,Prayers to Bobbie,Galilmarie, Carol.🙏
I always admired Uncle Bob! He was a great man, raised tremendous daughters, and enjoyed his wonderful wife. In small unsuccessful ways, I tried to be like this man. I thought he was full of strength, honesty, and dignity. God bless Uncle Bob!
