Friday, March 8, 2019 at age 106 years, 9 months and 13 days. Born May 26, 1912 to the late Mary and Frederick Eckerle at the family’s summer home in St. Louis County. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Palazzolo; dear sister of the late Grace (the late Sylvester) Appelbaum the late Josh (the late Marre) Eckerle; dear sister-in-law of the late Josephine Kimmel; dear aunt to S. William “Bill” (Joan) Appelbaum, Ann V. (the late William “Bill” Schlittler, John N. “Jack” (Carol) Appelbaum, Nicholas “Nick” (Greta) Eckerle, Judy (Dennis) Potter; great-aunt to 20; great-great-aunt to over 50; dear cousin and friend to many.

Virginia lived at the St. Louis Altenhein for the last 12 years where she was their oldest and longest residing resident.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Thursday, March 14, 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of one’s choice appreciated.
