On Monday, June 27, 2017, Brian died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 60. He was born September 11, 1956, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Brian was the fourth of eight children born to Robert & Joyce Pasque.
After several family moves (OK, TX, WY, CA), Brian grew up in Denver, Colorado. He loved school sports, especially wrestling. Brian’s name is on the Wall of Fame for wrestling in Arapahoe High School in Denver. He graduated from Colorado State University and began a successful career as a Landman in the oil & gas industry. Following in his Dad’s footsteps, Brian combined his business successes with his love of the outdoors. He and his dad spent time talking through business dealings, spending time outdoors, and swapping sports stories. Brian loved camping, hunting, & fishing. His love of these activities took him to such places as Hawaii, Mexico, Florida & British Columbia. While he went to countless places in search of the perfect sporting opportunity, Brian’s favorite place to fish was in Vienna, Missouri, at his brother Mike’s lake.
While visiting his brother Mike in St. Louis over Easter, Mike and his wife Tina introduced him to a darling “30 something” nurse named Cindy Behrends. After a 3 month, long-distance relationship, he proposed to her before the annual 4th of July Pasque family reunion. Little did he know that this would lead him to change his allegiance from the Colorado Rockies to the St. Louis Cardinals.
Cindy and Brian were married on February 11, 1995, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in South St Louis. Once here, Brian changed careers and began selling real estate. Just Ask Brian Pasque was his real estate byline. This slogan personifies Brian. Steady, wise & patient, Brian was the source of sage advice to all of his friends .
In the course of the following five years, Cindy and Brian were blessed with three incredible children – Molly, Richard, and Maddy. Brian & Cindy raised their children to love Jesus; therefore, there is no doubt they will see Brian again.
As his friends and family can attest, Brian deeply loved his kids and always encouraged them in their endeavors. He supported them from the sidelines, and when he couldn’t be with them in person, he always sent treats & care packages to show his love.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Joyce Pasque. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cindy, & their three children – Molly (20), Richard (19), and Maddy (16). Brian will also be missed by his sister, his six brothers with their extended families, and a host of friends from all over the country.
