Andrew was born in Englewood, New Jersey on November 1, 1980 to Rev. Roy and Rev. Marie Paterik. He graduated from Northwestern College, Orange City, Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Ministry.
He began working at Crete Reformed Church in Crete, IL shortly after graduation. After the prompting of some church ladies, he created an online dating profile where he was matched with his wife, Jessica. They were married on January 3, 2009; enjoying 9 years of marriage.
After they were married, Andrew and Jessica moved back to the city. Andrew worked at Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria and then found a job as an audio/visual technician with PSAV. He enjoyed volunteering at Soul City Church on the worship team.
Last May, Andrew and Jessica decided to leave Chicago after living there for 15 years to be closer to family.
He loved listening to worship music, playing his guitar or keyboard, long walks with his wife, chasing his cat, Nigil, around the house and making sure all his friends knew they were loved by sending them birthday and anniversary wishes.
Andrew is survived by Jessica, Rev. Roy and Rev. Marie Paterik, and other family and friends.
