  3. I work at the nursing home Darryl resided at. He was a wonderful guy. Everybody knew Darryl. He was kind, very smart, and very funny. Before being admitted Darryl would go around to places ( nursing homes included) and do professional singing. At the nursing home he was at, he brought his equipment so there were many times where he was live entertainment for the afternoon and sing. And boy could he sing. He was a great singer. The staff and residents loved it. Darryl became very well known to the dietary staff because of what is called “The Darryl Special” which consisted of 2 eggs, cheese, and bacon on two pieces of toast. Next time I make one at home, I’ll raise it into the air in his memory. I have so many fond memories of him. Darryl’s absence will definitely be apparent and things won’t be the same without him. He will be deeply missed. It was a joy to know him. To JoAne, Kelly, and Darrin your dedication to him in his final months (which as we all know were very trying at times) is beyond admirable. Darryl was extremely lucky to have you guys and I know he knew that. It was such a pleasure getting to know you guys. I wish you all the best. Please take care. You guys will always be a part of the Garden View family. My deepest condolences to you three and the rest of the family. May Darryl’s memory be a blessing. May he Rest In Peace. Goodbye Darryl. I’ll miss you buddy.
