David Christopher Petersen, a cherished friend, a devoted son, and a beacon of faith, departed from this earthly realm on 20 December 2023. He passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, love, and unwavering devotion to his faith in Christ.

Born to Patsy R Petersen on 29 August 1954, David was a man whose life was defined by his unwavering commitment to being a true ambassador for Christ. He is survived by his son, Cyrus Petersen, grandchildren, and was preceded in death by his father, the late Robert C Petersen. His journey was marked by compassion, empathy, and an unyielding spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. His profound love for others was evident in every action, conversation, and interaction.

David’s faith was not just a part of his life; it was the guiding force that shaped his character. His fervor for spreading the message of love, forgiveness, and compassion exemplified his role as an ambassador for Christ. He served as a source of inspiration for many, uplifting spirits and sharing the message of hope to everyone he encountered.

David Christopher Petersen’s life will be commemorated and celebrated by all those whose lives he touched. His spirit of selflessness, his unwavering faith, and his genuine love for others will continue to inspire and guide us. A memorial service to honor and remember David’s life will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, 7700 Davis Dr, Clayton, MO 63105 on January 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, Christopher requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. His dedication to supporting this cause reflects his compassionate nature and commitment to helping others, even beyond his lifetime. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his legacy of faith, love, and compassion continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Rest in peace, dear David Christopher Petersen. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever be cherished and remembered.

  4. Christopher was a good friend and fellow lover of C. S. Lewis. He is with his beloved Lord now. I’m sorry I shall miss his funeral as I am traveling overseas.
