Mary Clare (nee: Slattery) Pipkin passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the age of 103.  Dear mother, aunt, and friend; beloved wife of the late James Earl Pipkin (6/30/1981); loving mother of Pamela Pipkin-Magraw (Edward); dear daughter of the late Maurice and Claire (nee: Purdum) Slattery. She was preceded in death by siblings Mo (Maurice) Slattery, Joe Slattery, Betty Harter, Charlotte Koziatek, Catherine Tesson, Meg (Margaret) Reading, and Ned (Edward) Slattery.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mary’s name to your favorite charity.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17th at 10:00 am, at St. Michael the Archangel church in Shrewsbury with Mass at 11:00. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 12:45.

  1. Aunt Mary reminded me ao much of my mother. So full of life, and she jad a great sense of humor. Very modern and spoke her mind with no hold barred. Mu mother was only a year older than than her and personality very similar.
    Rest with the angles dear lady.

  2. To Pam. I recently learned of your Mother’s passing. Her name struck a fond memory of our grade school days! I remember our mothers being friends and also how kind and friendly you were, and still are, I’m sure! My prayers to you as you continue on.
