Bob Pohrer, 61, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph II and Jeanne Pohrer and father-in-law Donald Engle Sr. Bob is survived by his beloved husband, Donald Engle II; mother-in-law Linda Engle, sister Mary Lou (Charlie Waite) Hoover, brother William (Susan) Pohrer, brother Joseph (Amanda Apfelblat) Pohrer III, brother-in-law Justice Engle (Jesse), and sister-in-law Stacy (Roger) Goltz. Dear uncle to Ashley (James) Bowmer, Katie (Aaron) Chatman, Andrew (Diane) Doering, Jena (Damian Heady) Doering, Logan (Jennifer) Doering, Hayden Engle, and future ”Uncle Peaches” to baby Chatman. He is further survived by many treasured friends and business colleagues.
Bob was a graduate of St. Louis University High School and University of Kentucky in which his athleticism in water polo awarded him scholarships. He spent the majority of his career carrying on the tradition of the family business, Pauly Jail Building Company, with his brother and partner Joseph Pohrer III. Bob was loved by all who met him and will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and sense of humor.
Services: Visitation Friday, July 8, 2022, 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Ave., St. Louis, MO.
Service Friday, July 8, 2022, 7:00 p.m. at Saint Francis Xavier College Church, 3628 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO.
Bob loved red roses, or in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Over the years, I knew Bob he became a valued client and then friend. What a nice guy! It was an honor to work for him on behalf of Pauly Jail over the years and he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. My sincere condolences to all.
