My deepest sympathies to your family. Mrs Powers used to come to my classes on a regular basis at the Missouri Botanical Garden. She always had a joyous smile on her face and has a lust for learning. I truly enjoyed having her come to a lot of my classes. I am so sorry for your loss. I know she was an amazing mother and grandmother! Sincerely, Jennifer Smith-Simms

Phyllis was the spark that made us all better. I will always say “What would Phyllis do?” when I have to make a decision.

If you were feeling a bit down, a quick call to Phyllis would always cheer you up. Even if she was tired or not feeling all that great herself, you would never know it. Her cheery “hello” was always the same and her positive spirit provided the boost you needed. If it is possible to make Heaven an even better place, Phyllis is the one to do it.

Phyllis was such a wonderful, lovely lady. I will certainly miss her as I’m sure anyone who knew her will. The Episcopal Church of the Advent is missing part of its heart. My prayers for all of your family.

Phyllis was a kind, loving person who welcomed me as a newcomer to Advent. She always sat 2 pews up from me and her presence was welcomed and looked forward to each Sunday. A lovely lady that will be missed.

I’m so sorry to hear about Phyllis passing. We shared grandchildren and great grandchildren together. What a hole she is leaving and the great grandchildren not having her wisdom to guide them.

My condolences to her family, friends and Advent family. Phyllis was such a wonderful person. She helped me through one of the toughest time of my life when I lost my husband, Randy. She had such a huge heart. She touched so many lives and brought blessings to so many. She will be truly missed.

We are so sorry about the passing of Phyllis. The few times I did get to meet her she was so full of life and a very nice lady. She will truly be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers to all but mostly I want Sue, Alan, Christian and Brenden to know we love them and our thoughts and prayers are with them in this difficult time. Bill and Diane Dockery
