Beloved husband of Crocifissa “Fina” Prather ( nee Profeta); loving father of Brian and Scott Prather, Vito Chirco, Maria ( Gian Franco ) Loduca, Giuseppe ( Nicole ) Chirco; adoring grandfather of Alexandra, Alessandra and Giuseppe Chirco, and Vincenzo Loduca; preceded in death by parents T. Elvis and Wilma Prather; brother  Wendell ( Mary Ann ) Prather; and nephew John Prather ; survived by niece Anne (Jeff) Weber, nephew Wendell, Jr. (Gina) Prather; great uncle to Jennifer, James, Marc (Madi)

Don was retired from Graphic-Com.Int, and was commercial printer by trade. He proudly served his country for 6 years as a Sergeant Specialist Fire Team Leader Rifleman of the U. S. Marine Corps. Don and his platoon were always ready for deployment to Vietnam from 1962 – 1968 if the country ever needed them.

Don was a kind, humble, courteous, warm spirited, respectful gentleman who enjoyed nature’s wildlife, fishing, bird watching and grilling outdoors. He loved sharing his time with his children and grandchildren, eating Italian cuisine and having remarkable conversations. We will miss him greatly. He lived a beautiful life. With gratitude we thank you and with our whole hearts we love you.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Monday March 25 from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery and Mausoleum. Contributions to the V.A. Program appreciated.
