Ronald Kenneth Pratt was born on September 26, 1938 to parents Jesse and Agnes (Ploesser) in St. Louis, Missouri. He left this earth on March 5th, 2019
Ron graduated high school from St. John the Baptist, and then went into the Navy for the next 5 years. He began civilian life at Union Electric as a lineman, where he worked by day and attended night school to go on to become successful in Real Estate and Property Management. This was his passion, and he never retired.
Ron was a devoted husband to his wife of 52 years, Joan, whom he married on November 5th, 1966. He was a deeply cherished father to his three daughters, Chrissy, Lisa and Katie. Ron was welcomed in heaven by his first born, a son named Douglas. Ron is also survived by six grandchildren, with an additional one on the way.
Ron impacted many lives. He loved authentic connections, daily routine and weekly visits to his favorite places with his wife, like White Castles, Hodak’s Chicken and Chris’s Pancakes. Every year he brought his four girls a box of hand dipped Valentine Chocolates from Merb’s. When Ron spoke, you knew it was important. He taught his daughters invaluable life lessons, like never quit a job until you have another one lined up, save some, spend some, give some to church, and leave things better than they were when you got there.
Ron was known for his quick wit, his authentic smile, his easy laugh and his devotion to his family. Like the life lesson he passed on, he certainly left the world better than it was when he got here. He was adored by many and will be deeply missed.
