Preis, Marian Phyllis

September 19, 1945 - November 12, 2024

Marian Phyllis Coffel Preis, born September 19, 1945, took her final breath on Tuesday, November 12th after months of illness. Marian is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Preis, son Douglas (Laura), daughter Sarah (John) Schuh and granddaughter Lauren. Marian was proceeded in death by her father Marion Coffel, mother Ruth, sister Beverly, and brothers Ed and Wayne.

Marian loved spending time with family, traveling to the mountains and the beach, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Marian’s passion was animals, especially her dog Ashley, who brought her so much joy and comfort the last few years.

A memorial service will be held November 26th at 10am at St. Lucas UCC Church, 11735 Denny Road, 63126. In lieu of plants or flowers, Marian would have loved for donations be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Missouri.

    • Thank you for your thoughts. Her last 17 weeks of life were continuous stays in medical facilities with constant pain and discomfort. The kids and I were at her bedside when she passed away at the ICU in Mercy South Hospital.

    I am so sorry to learn of Marian’s passing. You and Marian (and Deke) were always great neighbors to Mom, Dad and I. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She was always very sweet and kind.
