Presley, Richard R. on Monday Jan. 13, 2025. Beloved father of Karen (Harold) Karabell, Rachel Presley (Mickey Smith), Shannon (Charlie) Martin.

Loving grandfather of Gabriel (Jessica), Al and Eli Karabell, Margaret Henri and Emma Smith, Hazel, Annabella and Riley Ray Martin. Dear great grandfather of Esther Anna Karabell.

Dear brother-in-law of Nancy O’Neill. Dear uncle of Kim Slaby, Matthew Presley and Carson Grusin.  Dear friend of Mary Ann Tipton.

Richard was the founder of SF Shannon Real Estate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or the Martin Foundation, 20 Burton Hills Blvd, Suite 150, Nashville, TN 37215, and its work to promote financial literacy for working families in Nashville.

Services: Kutis City Chapel, 2906 Gravois, 63118 this Sunday, Jan. 19. 2 PM visitation, 3 PM memorial service. Private interment at J.B. National Cemetery.

  2. I have great memories of Rich and I from Gothic Coffee house days. A game of chess or pool, was an event. Quick wit, intelligent, and very creative. I am blessed to have known him. Love and blessings to his family.

    • Oh my gosh!! We were so cool at 10 years old in our own apt and walking to get ice cream at Haagen Das :). Apt 116 is now called the Bennett after Carrie Bennett who owned the Cambridge in the 1950’s!! Thank you for your sweet note dear friend! xoxo

Richard was a kind person who was willing to talk whenever he saw you. I spoke to him once on the telephone was glad to know he was doing fine.
