In Loving Memory

Raisch, Gregory Scott

Raisch, Gregory Scott of St. Louis, MO, passed into God’s hands on June 16, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 60 years old.

He is survived by his loving wife Cathryn (Cathy Rees); his daughters: Lauren T. Wulff (John) and Leslie M. Raisch (Bryan Riley) as well as his mother JoAnn (nee Sestric) Raisch, brother Bruce A. and uncles: Joseph L. (Marianne) Sestric, Robert  (Laverne) Raisch and Gregory  (Barbara) Sestric; he was also a loving “Papa” to Aja, Hunter, Kathryn and Hayden. His father William A. (Bill MO State Representative) preceded him in 1996.

Greg served on the Bayless School Board from 1981-1986 and, at the time, was the youngest school board president. He shared his love of softball with the guys on the Gargoyles team and the Citizen’s National Bank co-ed team. He worked in the trust department of Boatmen’s Bank and Union Planters Bank and most recently worked in environmental compliance for Apex Oil.

Gregory Scott had a special fondness for the outdoors, camping and canoeing with his wife and daughters. Special thanks are sent to our “FAV DOC”, Doctor Hon Chi Suen, who gave Greg the gift of time with family and friends and entire staff at Festus Mercy, who always cheered him on. Gregory Scott touched the hearts of many with his kindnesses, quick wit, intelligence and his study of history and that is where he will always remain with family and friends.

Services: A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church on Saturday, June 25, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to Open Door Animal Sanctuary. A KUTIS AFFTON SERVICE
