On May 28, 2024, Tina Marie Ramsey (‘nee Jakul) shed her earthly pain and made a peaceful transition to heaven, surrounded by loving friends and family.
Tina was born on March 24, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Richard and Marie (Dolly) Jakul. She attended high school at McCluer North and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Central Missouri State University, where she was a sorority sister in Alpha Omicron Pi. She spent the majority of her working years excelling in retail sales at Lord & Taylor, Nordstroms, and Saks. Tina loved music, movies, travel, and true crime shows. She also had a great love of and a talent for acting, which she was able to fulfill for several years in local theatre productions.
Tina’s love transformed the lives of everyone she encountered. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, share herself and evoke the same spirit of love in each person she met. Tina’s passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of all of us who were constantly entertained by her stories and hilarious sense of humor. She brought the life to every party!
Tina was preceded in death by her father and mother. She is survived by her brother, Richard Jakul and her long-time partner, Marvin Young. She also leaves behind her aunt, Anna Wrozier, and multiple cousins. In addition, she had many close friends who she considered as family. She was much loved and will be missed dearly.
Her visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton, MO from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. On Monday, June 3, her funeral will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Kutis and will proceed to Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Manchester MO for the funeral mass, which will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Tina, YOU will be missed! Knowing you since early college days at CMSU and roommate/sorority sister-I have a LOT of fun memories! Even through your cancer diagnosis, you’ve continued to smile and laugh and tell your stories! So happy you were able to travel with the “clique” to Naples and Palm Springs especially the drag brunch on your birthday!! You’ve been such a fighter through all of your medical issues and have continued to entertain everyone around you. Your faith sustained you and I bet you are surrounded by the angels laughing and telling your stories! I love you friend and will miss you bunches!
