Rattanary

In Loving Memory

Rattanaray, Khanthaly “Le”

May 20, 1960 - September 6, 2024

Khanthaly “Le” Rattanaray, born May 20, 1964 to the late Ly and Yu Yiou in Laos, passed away on September 6, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was surrounded by her immediate family, siblings, and niece at the time of her passing.

Le immigrated to the United States at the age of seventeen in 1981 with her mother and siblings – residing in St. Louis, Missouri for over two decades before moving into her current home in Ballwin, Missouri. She began a career spanning 30 years at MMG Corporation as an Assembly Line Worker – later taking on various roles including Seamstress, Machine Operator, and Packaging. After stepping away from the company and taking a hiatus from the production line to work with her sister and brother-in-law at their family restaurant, Hunan Star, Le took on a new role as a Parts Assembler for Control Devices in 2023. Throughout her career, she was known for her strong work ethic and adaptability.

She was a devoted wife to Pawn Rattanaray for 37 years and a loving mother to Dianna (Rattanaray) Dietrich and Angela Rattanaray. Le’s family was her pride and joy, and spending quality time with them was what she enjoyed most. As family was the most important part of her life, she never missed the opportunity to take out her camera to snap moments in time.

Le is survived by her husband, Pawn Rattanaray; her children, Dianna (Ian) Dietrich and Angela Rattanaray; and grandsons, Miles and Theo Dietrich. She will be missed by her siblings, Ly Chao Yiou (Eng Lee), Susan (Ping) Chen, Junesien Siriphayvanh, and Kong Siriphayvanh (Hien Duong); nieces and nephews, Siou (Jason) Dhamers, Sue (Jason) Pugsley, Ty (Jennie) Yiou, Gina (Avery) Hagedorn, Veda Yiou, and Tammy Chen; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

Visitation service will take place on Friday, September 13 and will be open to the public from 8:30am through 1:00pm at Kutis Funeral Home (10151 Gravois Rd, Affton, MO 63123). In honor of Le’s life, a Buddhist prayer service will take place at 11:00am during the visitation hours. All who wish to join the prayer service are encouraged to arrive prior to 11:00am.

Burial service will immediately follow the visitation at St. Matthew Cemetery (4360 Bates St, St. Louis, MO 63116).
