
Walter Ray (Jack) Reeves passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025 in Arnold, Missouri. He was 94 years old. Walter was born on May 4, 1931 in Brunot, Missouri to Charles and Gussie Reeves. He was one of seven children.
Walter attended Cleveland High School. He joined the Navy in November 1951 and served until 1955. Walter attended Seabees Navy training in Oxnard, California. He worked at Midwest Pipe during his entire career. While he was in the Navy, Midwest Pipe held his job. He was an expert welder.
Walter married Eleanor Geusz on October 20, 1951. They recently celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary. Walter and Eleanor had one daughter, Deborah (Reeves) Gawlik born on May 15, 1958.
Walter was a hard working man who was dedicated to caring and providing for his family. He was a loving husband and father. Walter enjoyed working with his hands. He always tinkered and liked to fix things. He loved having a clean car and worked hard to keep his cars in good working condition and looking nice! Banana splits were his favorite treat as well as watermelon.
Walter is preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Reeves Gawlik, his parents, Charles and Gussie Reeves and five siblings. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Reeves, his son-in-law, Ray Gawlik and his sister, Charlotte Blow.
The funeral will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Kutis Funeral Home, Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd. St. Louis, Missouri. The family will receive guests beginning at 11 am. The service will begin at 12 noon. Immediately following the service there will be a burial at Park Lawn Cemetery located at 1800 Lemay Ferry Road.
